How it began
The brainchild of three IT professionals with a combined 40 years of technology-related experience, we want to enable businesses and home users to have access to local and national technology resources by creating a directory of trusted and rated technology professionals and businesses.
We want to make our suppliers accountable for their services by actively encouraging our consumers to review the service they received. As moderators we will not allow consistently negatively reviewed organisations or people to remain on our site, giving you confidence that you will receive the highest quality service.
How it works For consumers
You have five directories to choose from: Businesses, Smart Hands, Smart Hands Plus, People and Knights (launching soon). In each area, you will have an interactive map showing people or businesses in either your local area or the location in which you need assistance.

Businesses
Find IT-focused businesses in areas such as audio visual, managed service providers, structured cabling, training companies and more. Deal directly with the businesses, and rate them once they have carried out their services.
Keyboard Knights is not responsible for works any of the businesses provide. All businesses must provide proof of current and valid insurance and certificates for any qualifications and accreditations. Please refer to the site’s terms and conditions for further information.
Smart Hands
If you are a managed service provider, a business or a home user, you can request a visit from a local smart hands operator to a location of your choosing. They will either work directly with a person onsite, or liaise with a remote office and be fully guided by them, optionally as a white labelled service.
All call outs are a minimum of two hours at £65 per hour; we do not charge for travel to or from your premises unless this has been pre-approved due to any extenuating circumstances. Any additional time above the initial two hours will be billed in 30 minute increments at £32.50. Please refer to the site’s terms and conditions for further information.

We are continuing to grow our international and european network of operatives. Our operatives will either work directly with a person onsite, or liaise with a remote office and be fully guided by them, optionally as a white labelled service.

Whether you are looking for a permanent employee, a long-term contractor or require some emergency resource, we will have someone in your area that can assist. Carry out a search against our candidates based on location, availability, experience and qualifications, and review their full biographies.
Once you have found who you are looking for, you can purchase their contact details and make direct contact. The fee is a nominal charge that helps keep the platform available whilst showing candidates that your interest is real as you have invested in them personally.

We are continually looking to add reputable technology-focused businesses and people to our site from across the whole of the UK. Please register your interest and fill out your company/personal biography to include your services and/or relevant skill sets. Once your application is approved, you will be added to our interactive map and your services will go live.
All customers are encouraged to rate all of the services on this website. Any business or person that is consistently achieving under three-star reviews will be removed from the site. All reviews under three stars will be moderated to ensure the review is a true reflection before we publish them.

We will be encouraging all of your customers to rate your services based on their opinion of your overall technical skills, value for money and customer service. Smart Hands
We are looking for Self-employed/Sole trader IT professionals/businesses that are prepared to offer their services on an ad hoc basis for our Smart Hands service or for emergency call outs at a fixed hourly rate.
This could be visiting businesses or home users in your local area and potentially offering a white labelled service for IT Businesses from other parts of the country that need a physical presence outside of their normal trading area.
The service will be billed at a minimum of 2 hours per call out. Keyboard Knights will handle the billing and the booking/ticketing system on your behalf and will pay the rates directly into your chosen account upon receipt of your invoice. What is the Smart Hands Directory?
A national network of technology professionals that are able to come to your home or place of work and assist you with any technology related jobs. We work with managed service providers (MSPs) to give them access to a national network of professionals so they can offer their clients assistance no matter where in the country they are. We also work with the service providers and be their local smart hands and assist with setting up home or satellite offices.

What is the People Directory?
A collection of technology professionals from around the UK that are available for work. Create an in-depth profile showcasing skills, qualifications, experience, location, availability and salary expectations. The profiles will be viewable by potential employers and recruiters, and should they find suitable candidates we will request a nominal fee to release full contact details and CV so they can make direct contact.
What is the difference between a verified and an unverified listing?
A verified listing will show as a blue icon with a white tick. This means that the company or person has supplied additional information such as legal and insurance documentation to Keyboard Knights that indicates we have verified them. Businesses or people that have not supplied this information will not show as verified by Keyboard Knights. However, we check that they exist before they are published on our site.
What if some information is incorrect?

I have a dispute with one of your suppliers
If you have a dispute with one of our suppliers you can email us directly at disputes@keyboardknights.co.uk. Once we receive your email we’ll investigate. When emailing any disputes, please include as much information as possible so that we can investigate the matter fully and as quickly as possible.
What if I disagree with a comment or rating from a customer?
In the event that you disagree with a comment or rating from a customer, please email disputes@keyboardknights.co.uk with as much information as possible.
Keyboard Knights will then investigate and where required contact the customer for further information to resolve the issue.
